For elders raising their grandchildren, services include respite (trained volunteers to care for the children in the home), educational and support groups, assistance locating and obtaining information about community resources, and substance abuse education and treatment for any family member. The grandchildren may participate in periodic tutoring, cultural programs, recreational activities and prevention programs.
